The Role:

As a Senior Water Resources and Infrastructure Planning Engineer, your role combines expertise in water resources management with infrastructure planning to address complex challenges related to Hydrology, Infrastructure modelling networks, and sustainable development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead urban water, sanitary and drainage system modelling, including data management, model setup and calibration, and system assessment.
• Lead and review design calculations in accordance with current standards
• Lead the development of Infrastructure servicing plans, rainwater management plans and flood management plans for subdivisions, neighborhood, and city-wide areas.
• Lead technical analysis in support Civil engineering design associated with municipal water, sanitary sewer, drainage conveyance works and hydraulic structures.
• Develop

and lead in design of onsite source control BMPs and onsite/offsite detention facilities. * Prepare construction cost estimates, implementation plan and operation and maintenance manuals.

• Write and review technical memorandums and reports.

Additional responsibilities will include client communication and management; proposal preparation; coordination with subconsultants, regulatory agencies, project planning, budgeting, scheduling and other project management tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, water resources or related field with minimum ten (10) years of related experience.
• Registered as a P.Eng. or eligible with EGBC.
• Experienced in hydrological and hydraulic analysis and EGBC. Using various techniques and modelling software.
• Experienced in infrastructure master planning, rainwater management planning and flood management planning.
• Proficient in using Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS or QGIS and other computer programs for modelling of water distribution systems, sanitary and storm sewer systems and open channel hydraulics.
• Experienced in project management of projects with comprehensive planning tasks and coordination with internal and external project team members, clients, subconsultants and government agencies.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
