Highlight was the development plan member insights ideas in collaboration produced a development plan to guide our association to the next 20 years our plan is built to run a few key goals leadership communication engagement partnership advocacy inspiration and service another highlight was the National planning conference in Seattle

The energy produced by six thousand planners was amazing at the conference we launched the planners advocacy network this program will help you advocate for planning in your community we’re really excited about this entrée into grassroots action and last fall APA member advocates took our message to Capitol Hill we met with senators

Representatives and congressional staff from all 50 states we hope you’ll enjoy all this annual report has to share about APA education and advocacy and our research outreach and volunteer efforts like the AICP community planning assistance team program as you read you’ll meet APA members who contributed to this year’s achievements thank you
